Nginep di Hotel Luar Angkasa Habiskan 42 Miliar Rupiah

Sebuah perusahaan memiliki rencana untuk membuka hotel pertama di luar angkasa dan rencana akan dibuka untuk tamu mulai tahun 2012, walaupun rencana ini sempat menuai banyak kritik dan pertanyaan banyak investor atas project multi miliaran dollar ini. Arsitek hotela tersebut adalah perusahaan The Galactic Suite Space Resort yang bermarkas di Barcelona, yang mengatakan bahwa hotel di luar angkasa tersebut dikenakan biaya untuk tamu sebesar 3 juta euro ($4.4 juta) atau sekitar Rp. 42 miliar untuk biaya menginap 3 malam di hotel, dimana harga tersebut sudah termasuk 8 minggu kursus di pulau tropis.
Selama tinggal di hotel luar angkasa atau tepatnya di bulan, tamu dapat melihat matahari terbit 15 kali sehari dan berjalan mengelilingi dunia setiap 80 menit. Mereka akan mengenakan pakaian ‘velcro’ sehingga mereka dapat merangkak di sekitar ruangan pod mereka dengan melekatkan dirinya ke dinding, mirip di film Spiderman. Menurut CEO The Galactic Suite Space Resort, Xavier Claramunt, yang juga pernah menjabat sebagai teknisi aerospace mengatakan bahwa project tersebut akan disimpan di perusahaannya (galacticsuite.com), dan ia yakin bahwa perjalanan luar angkasa ini akan menjadi hal luar biasa di masa depan.
Galactic Suite Ltd akan menjalankan project ini dengan single pod di orbit 450 km (280 mil) di atas bumi, dan berjalan dengan kecepatan 30,000 km per jam, dengan kapasitas penumpang 4 orang dan 2 pilot astronot. Perjalanan akan memakan waktu satu setengah hari. “Ketika penumpang sampai di rocket, mereka akan tinggal selama 3 harus di rocket dan kapsul. Kini sudah lebih dari 200 orang yang tertarik dengan perjalanan di hotel luar angkasa ini dan setidaknya terdapat 43 orang telah memesan ‘kamar’ hotel tersebut.” ungkap Claramunt.
Namun, pertanyaan yang timbul, darimana uang yang begitu banyak untuk membangun project ini? Claramunt menjawab ada seorang miliuner anonym yang tertarik dan mau mendanai project tersebut sebesar $3 miliar.

Sains & Teknologi Rusia Bangun Hotel di Luar Angkasa

Nantinya, para tamu akan diangkut ke hotel dengan menggunakan shuttle Soyoz.
Perusahaan Rusia meluncurkan rencana ambisius, yakni membangun guest house di ruang angkasa.
Orbital Technologies, perusahaan tersebut mengatakan, guest house ini dapat memberikan kenyamanan akomodasi bagi wisatawan kaya di ruang angkasa pada tahun 2016 mendatang.

Seperti dikutip dari BBC, 3 Oktober 2010, perusahaan asal Moscow itu juga akan mempekerjakan koki-koki ternama untuk menyiapkan makanan sebelum meraka dikirim ke ruang angkasa.

Nantinya, para tamu akan diangkut ke hotel dengan menggunakan shuttle Soyoz seperti yang digunakan untuk mengangkut kosmonot ke stasiun luar angkasa internasional (International Space Station/ISS).

Namun, Sergei Kostenko, Chief Executive Officer Orbital Technologies mengatakan, guest house yang akan dibangun akan lebih nyaman jika dibandingkan dengan ISS.

“Kami merencanakan di dalam ruangan nanti tidak akan mengingatkan pengunjung pada ISS,” kata Kostenko. “Hotel itu harus nyaman di dalam dan ini memungkinkan untuk melihat bumi melalui teropong yang besar,” ucapnya.

Hotel ini juga diperuntukkan bagi orang kaya dan orang yang bekerja untuk perusahaan private yang ingin melakukan penelitian di angkasa. Adapun untuk orbitnya, hotel tersebut akan mengikuti orbit yang sama seperti International Space Station (ISS).

Modul yang pertama dikirimkan, kata Kostenko, akan memiliki 4 kabin yang di desain hingga dapat menampung 7 penumpang dalam ruangan berukuran 20 meter kubik. Namun Kostenko tidak mengungkapkan biaya yang harus dikeluarkan untuk menginap di hotel (guest house) tersebut.

Para konglomerat sudah merespons rencana pembangunan hotel ini. Bahkan rencananya, perjalanan ke luar angkasa bagi para turis mulai bisa dilakukan pada tahun 2011.

Ada beberapa fasilitas yang ditawarkan dalam hotel tersebut. Mulai dari kebutuhan penelitian ilmiah, media dan hiburan. Kapal luar angkasa yang bisa mengangkut para turis juga telah disiapkan.

Sejumlah investor telah menanamkan modalnya dalam proyek ini. Nilainya menacpai USD 100 juta hingga USD 1 miliar. Beberapa bahkan sudah meneken kontrak.

Screw

                  A screw is one of the six classical simple machines, essentially an inclined plane wrapped helically around an axis for a number of turns (which may be less than one). A screw can convert a rotational movement to a linear movement, and a torque (rotational force) to a linear force. When the shaft of the screw is rotated relative to the stationary threads, the screw moves along its axis relative to the medium surrounding it; for example rotating a woodscrew forces it into wood; rotating a fixed Archimedean screw used to pump water moves the water.

                 The screw's lead, the distance the screw travels in one revolution , determines the mechanical advantage of the machine; the smaller the lead, the higher the mechanical advantage. Mechanical advantage can be estimated by dividing the circumference of the shaft by the distance between the threads.

                  Practical screw devices may or may not have a shaft around which the thread is wrapped; the propeller blade, for example, does not. Uses include:
  • the bolt, used as a fastener together with a nut or tapped hole with mating thread
  • the metal woodscrew, a fastener with a thread sharp enough to cut its way through wood, forming a thread in the wood, driving the screw in, and holding it in place
  • the screw top, to hold the lid of a bottle or jar tightly in place
  • the lathe screw, which uses rotation of a knob by hand to make much smaller, precisely controlled linear movements
  • the similar worm gear, to drive a perpendicular gear with increased mechanical advantage
  • the lead screw, ball screw and roller screw, which convert screw rotation to linear movement of a shaft
  • the corkscrew
  • the micrometer, essentially a calibrated, precise screw used for measuring linear distances
  • the propeller blade to move a water- or aircraft, an example of a screw of less than one turn which is not required to move a shaft
  • the electric fan blade, a fixed propeller which moves the air
  • the helical twist drill bit, an Archimedean screw used to remove swarf from a hole being drilled
  • the screw conveyor, closely related to the Archimedean screw

           A wedge is a triangular shaped tool, a compound and portable inclined plane, and one of the six classical simple machines. It can be used to separate two objects or portions of an object, lift an object, or hold an object in place. It functions by converting a force applied to its blunt end into forces perpendicular (normal) to its inclined surfaces.[ The mechanical advantage of a wedge is given by the ratio of the length of its slope to its width. Although a short wedge with a wide angle may do a job faster, it requires more force than a long wedge with a narrow angle.

The mechanical advantage of a wedge can be calculated by dividing the length of the slope by the wedge's width:
MA={S \over W}
The more acute, or narrow, the angle of a wedge, the greater the ratio of the length of its slope to its width, and thus the more mechanical advantage it will yield.
However, in an elastic material such as wood, friction may bind a narrow wedge more easily than a wide one. This is why the head of a splitting maul has a much wider angle than that of an axe.
